Questionnaire
The user answers context-based questions about behaviour and relationships.
Overview
MORPH asks how self-presentation changes under the gaze of strangers, friends and family. The app makes these shifting personas visible as editable forms rather than one fixed profile.
Interviews explored how people adjust their behaviour and self-presentation when interacting with strangers, friends and family. Participants described different levels of confidence, restraint and performance across each relationship.
The user answers context-based questions about behaviour and relationships.
Responses are translated into a first persona shape and trait profile.
The generated persona can be corrected instead of being accepted as a fixed judgement.
Different versions are applied to social situations and reflected on over time.
Information architecture defined how a user creates a basic self, adds relationship-specific personas and moves between creation, use and story. Paper testing exposed unclear labels before the visual interface was developed.
Testing showed that participants did not simply want an AI-generated identity. They wanted to compare it with how they saw themselves and revise the result. That disagreement became a deliberate part of the interaction.
